    Avi/DivX -> mpeg

    I have converted my divx to avi and then used TMPGEnc. to convert to mpeg, the divx is a ntsc film (23.976fps). When the mpeg is played on the pc or otherwise you can see slowdown in the movie.

    If I convert directly from divx to mpeg using TMPGEnc. I get sound dropouts and the same slowdown problem.

    Can this be fixed?

    I've tried bith 4.11 and 3.11 codecs for divx -> mpeg and both cause sound loss.

    PC: 1ghz amd, 512mb ram, ata66 ibm hd.

    Thanks

        I am not the person who should be offering advice on DIVX codex matters as i have had very little experice. But, what media player are you using ? I know that Windows media player v7.0 has a few problems assiciated with it and v6.4 seems to be the one prefered from what i have read and experienced. Also, although most like not the problem but what version of TMPGEnc are you using ? v12a or v12e seem to also the way to go

        I hope this is of some help
        Cheers
