How do I cut an Avi into Multiple smaller files

I am trying to cut an avi file that is 50 megs into 100 movies. I want to have 500k movies. How can I cut an avi into multiple files that are under 1 meg. Is there a program that can do this?

Well normally you cut with virtualdub or nandub (nandub is the better choise because it can handle vbr audio).

But you might not be able to make segments that small, because you must cut at a keyframe.

If you need a guide on this, go take a look at the divx guides section at www.doom9.net
Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.

Exactly 500Kb is not so easy because it is only possible to cut an avi at a keyframe. Depending on the bitrate and the keyframe-rate there can be more or less than 500Kb between two keyframes. For really small clips use VirtualDUB and save avi as segmented avi with 100 frames per segment. I think you will have to reencode the avi to do it. Then every avi will have 100 frames, but the filesizes of all avis are different.
