VHS capture

when I capture certain VHS tapes the image darkens slightly and them lightens back up. It seems to do this on a regular interval. Any way to stop it?

We aren't mind readers....there are a miriad of ways to capture VHS...what are you doing to accomplish this task. Many capture software packages have adjustments to vary brightness of capture.

I am using a ATI TV Capture card with Roxio Creator 7.
