    Splitting avi's inVDub

Say I have an .avi that is 300000 frames long, and I want to split this into three parts(100000 frames/part)
I mark start at frame 0 and mark end at 100000.
Then mark start at frame 1000001 and so on.....
But,VDub starts cutting somewhere around 999920(i get 80 frames from the end of part 1 in the beginning of part 2)
The it would seem logical to mark start at 100080,but that didn't work either.

Has anyone encoutered this problem before?
Is there an optional avi splitter that can split in frames?

Each section must be saved seperately. Mark in at o then mark out at 100000 and then save that section. Then do the other two section the same way.

If you are using one of the more recent versions of VirtualDub, it is probably "forcing" you to make your cuts on keyframes...

Yes, it's the keyframes. Frame 100001 is NOT a keyframe, so if you set the start of the movie at 100001 VD searchs for the last keyframe before frame 100001. That seems to be frame 999920. Use the yellow arrows of VD's controls to jump from Keyframe to keyframe and cut it only there.
There is no other avi-splitter that can split at orther frames than keyframes. Only way to split at 100001 is to reencode from frame 100001 to the next keyframe so that 100001 becomes a keyframe.
            don't trust in guides
