My kiosk flash project will playback requested videos contained in other flash movies. We received uncompressed, interlaced, "microsoft YUV" (what is that?) *.avi files from the client. These videos when played back uncompressed look fine. But when we squeeze them to a variety of settings, an aweful artefact is produced when ever a fast pan is made with the camera. Flickering. And "horizontal banding". There are also a lot of "teeth"on hard lines in the video images. Could this have something to do with the original video being interlaced? Is there a way to fix/convert this?
any help will be massively appreciated!
