Agent joins multipart mpeg and decodes individually

In a discussion forum, I download a 26 part mpeg and then ask Agent 1.9 to join them.

As a result, in one window, I will have 26 little mpeg files that are now assosiated with Vuepro. How can I get these 26 short movies to play as one?

Not sure about Agent 1.9 or VuePro, but other joiners can help with MPGs. I've been using EOVideo with some success for this.

HJSplit is a free joiner of multiple mpg files you download from usenet ( they all end like .mpg.001, .mpg.002....right?) Just hit "join" and select the .001 file (and make sure all the other files are in the same folder, ie. agent.

Thanks R, forgot about HJSplit. It's a great program, and free!

          Thanks 4 your help

Thanks 4 your help. This has solved my problem. A friend suggested doing the joining in a dos prompt mode but I couldn't find the correct command lines.

Mastersplitter is also a free program which will do the same thing.

              Jumped the gun

Neither mastersplitter or hjsplit can find first split part because agent has decoded individually.

              Instead of .avi.001, .avi.002, .avi.003
              I get 3 distinct movies
              01.avi, 02.avi, 03.avi

I have agent (not the free version) and it doesn't change the files on me. click on the individual file and see if it opens...if it does you can merge avi files by loading them in order into VirtualDub...if it doesn't, and your version of agent has changed the numbering, you may have to rename the files individually to reflect the movie.avi.001 format.
