    Error while analyzing DVD

I am using DVD Shrink v. 2.3 which I purchased from CopyDVDPro. I have made backup copies of dozens of DVDs without a problem but with a particular one, the analysis freezes about halfway through and I am getting the following error message:

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue this operation. DVdvCSS: read failed. The reason is Data Error (cyclic redundancy check).

The original DVD plays fine and has
    no apparent scratches or defects.

Is it possible to back it up and burn it with an incomplete analysis? If not, any suggestions? Thank you.

May not be visible but try giving it a good good clean and retry

A good scrub did the trick. Thank you!

Yes, I really did buy it, but at the time I did not know it was freeware. Still, DVDShrink plus a good program for burning has been well worth US$40, so I have no complaints.

In what way might I benefit by upgrading to a higher version of DVD Shrink? V. 2.3 works so well, I hate to risk spoiling anything. Thanks again, and I'm glad I was able to give you a good giggle.

        Hey CB

DVD Shrink is currently on version 3.1.7, quite a few improvements have been made since 2.3

        Download it "free!" from :http://www.dvdshrink.org/where.html

At the end of the day if 2.3 is serving its purpose.......

If aint broke don't fix it...
