help with enhancing videos

hello i have several .asf and .wmv files that are in low resolution and bad quality (fuzzy blocks, etc).

how can i improve their qualitites?

what program do i use?

Take it to TMPGenc...go to setting>>advanced and double click "Sharpen edge"....push the slider all the way to the right and see if that doesnt help. If you think it's good enough to convert load a template and hit start.

I just sharpened one....there are two bars...and I wound up pushiing them all the way to the left....then you can play the video with a slider bar and review the results before you commit. Smoothed a blocky AVI right out.

what if they are choppy and freezes and plays audio?

they could be corrupt. You might be able to clean them up using VirtualDubMod.
