RCA DRS7000N DVD+R probs

Hey - Using Imation DVD+R media to burn DVD backups with DVD Shrink (latest version) to rip and Nero 6.316 to burn DVD Video. The discs run fine in my Philips 724AT and look/sound great, but the RCA DRS7000N balks at the discs, sometimes shutting itself off. Someone else said they had a problem over at dvdrhelp.com with Xcopy doing this, but I wondered if anyone has seen this with the DVDShrink/Nero combo? Or, does anyone have any ideas on what to try to increase compatibility. I even tried burning with region code #1 instead of region free.

The RCA DRS7000N is DVD+R compatible according to users and the manual.

Try a different BRAND of +R media - such as Ritek...

setarip - Can media make a compatibility difference? Because I know the discs I'm burning are good, they play in both my Philips 724AT and my Shinsonic cheapy.

If they can make a compatibility difference, I'll try Ritek ASAP.

Any other ideas as to why it may not work?

Ritek spindle arrived yesterday and my backups are running TIGHT on the RCA now. Just needed some better media
