The Panasonic LS50 portable DVD player,...where can I get one?

I was recently browsing the internet trying to decide which portable DVD player I wanted to purchase because me and my wife are going to be going on vacation here soon and I wanted to have something I could play my personal movies with in the hotel room. I at first decided I was just going to purchase one of those cheap DVD players I saw at Walmart, but when I got on the internet, I decided to look around and see what else there was for DVD players. At home here I own some Panasonic DVD recorder decks, which record on DVD-RAM discs, or record to a DVD-R. When I was browsing the net, I noticed that Panasonic had a number of portable DVD players, and some of them play DVD-RAM discs. One particular model was the right size and the right price, which is the Panasonic DVD-LS50 that has a 7 inch LCD screen. This would work out great for me, because I would not only be able to play commercial DVDs, but I could play my DVD-RAM discs that I use to record tv shows off cable tv with this particular model. There were other models that also have this capability that were cheaper, but they only have a 5 inch screen, and that would be too small for me.
When I was browsing the net, I noticed where some .com electronics web sites had the Panasonic LS50. I was all set to order one, but when I checked to see whether or not they had this model available, not one store had it, even though they advertised it as an item they had for sale. The LS50 is not too big and not too small for my purposes, and the price is right. I could opt for a model that is more expensive and has a bigger screen, but I don't want to pay that much extra money for one with the features I'm after.
If anyone can help me with this and/or possibly knows what store sells one new, I'd appreciate any info. Our vacation is coming up soon and I'd like to have one before we go.
    Thanks for any replies.

Thanks for the reply Mig$y, but I've checked that same web link that you gave me and none of those four stores listed have the LS50 in stock. Thanks for trying to help though.

Tunesman, if you're Europe, try Kelkoo.com?

To sfheath; if you mean, am I located in Europe, no, I'm from the United States, which means that, I'm assuming, the pal version of the item I'm looking for is now available over there. That of course would not do me any good because I have to have the
U.S. version of the LS50, but thanks for the help.

alas on further investigation not available here till June. the uk panasonic site doesn't even feature it. I wondered if it might be switchable PAL/NTSC as so many players are coming out with that facility these days.
sounds a nice piece of kit - good hunting!

sfheath, yes, it sounds like it is a nice unit. Too bad it's not available yet. They say it won't be available here in the US until mid May. Actually, there are already several Panasonic portable DVD players available right now, but either the screen is too small or if it does have a large screen, it's too expensive. Anyway, the one I'm after has a screen that's just the right size and is supposed to be able to play DVD-RAM discs. I hope I can get one before we go on vacation on the first week of June, because that's when I'll be wanting to use it. When it finally is available, I'll have to find a store that can send it overnight. Thanks again.

I just checked out your link. Too bad that unit doesn't play DVD-RAM discs, or I probably would've ordered one!
Have a good one, and don't do anything I wouldn't do!
