    Power DVD display problem

    hi there,

I have Cyberlink PowerDVD on my laptop, which is not displaying with good resolution (white lines in-between) , sound quality is good.

tried everything (Installation of different DVD softwares, changing display settings, enable DMA mode, Reinstall display driver) no change. I hope it's not a hardware problem.

Please help me if someone knows the reason as well as solution.

    Appreciate your help in advance.

    Sincerely
    G10

Try turning hardware acceleration on if it's off, or off if it's on...

Are we talking pixel lines here or wider bands?
If pixel, try and find an interlace switch somewhere in your display menus?

              hi sfheath

thanks for your response, Let me explain it in more detail. In power DVD there is a System Diagnostic, when I run that utility it shows me colous with uniform white horizontal lines, which reduces the resolution of the picture (I'm sorry I don't know wheather it's pixel lines or wide bands) and when I'm running any DVD it became wider in full screen and looses the quality of picture.

I tried to find out the interlace switch in Display menu but couldn't find it.

more detail about my laptop for your referance:
              Pentium III
              RAM 384 MB
              OS: Win2k
              PowerDVD Ver : XP 4.0

Note: Working fine with other 3 same laptops having same configuration.

If others are identical I can only suggest you put yours and one of the others next to each other and compare setttings through the menus?
What does Windows Media Player play like?

                  hi sfheath

compared both the laptops' setup.......everything same....

Microsoft Media player installed, is also showing the same kind of display....seems problem with all kind of video files.

Any clue??? I have lots of hope from you.....
