how to convert ogm to avi?

i've a question here:
i need to know in details the steps to convert an ogm file to avi.
can any 1 out there walk me thru it

i really appreciate it.
i've been asking around but still i dun 've a concrete answer to tis.

ogm (ogg media files) is a media container like avi (audio video interleave) - avi is an old one. ogm is designed to handle ogg vorbis audio, which sounds better than common mp3.
to play ogm under players like Media Player, use Tobias'oggDS. It provides filters for ogm (de)multiplexing and ogg vorbis rendering.
There's no need to go back to avi.

the reason for conversion
is 2 play it in the normal vcd player
wt ogm file format i can't do so

it is not only the container you have to process, but codecs used for both video and audio too.
use VirtualDubMod to demultiplex video and audio streams (stream->demux for audio and save as avi with 'direct stream copy' for video)
decode your ogg (audio) into uncompressed wav thanks to oggDropXPd then search in this web site/forum how to make a vcd using tmpgenc.
