Could somebody please tell me how to transfer data with a DVD burner to a DVD-R. Not a DVD+R. Somebody already mentioned Nero6 so I downloaded the trial but threw it out. It did not seem to contain an application to transfer data to a DVD-R. I have lots of software for backing up DVD's and I have the burner but not the app to transfer data to a DVD-R. I would like a trial app or freeware but I don't want to pay for something that doesn't suit my needs. If it works, I will gladly pay for it. Could someone please help me?

This is incorrect. The Nero "Smart Start" icon, which resides on the desktop, gives you the option to burn a “Data Disk". Click on the DVD tab and you will see the various choices. -
