change of size of subs in vobsub

I really need help with playing divx/xvid/ogg movies with subtitles using Windows media player classic and VOBSUB. The problem; I can't change font or size and the default size is simply too small. Can't change in WMC OR VOBSUB although I apply it in the menus, it just wont work. Please I dont understand this!

I need it to work with Windows Media Player.

Maybe Fddshow shows a larger image? way out of my depth here!
This isn't a learning curve ... this is b****y mountaineering!

I haven't touched anything in ffdshow config.

        Btw, WMC=WMP (Windows Media Player).

hm - still can't work it out! Let me add, it's not ordinary subs (small .sub files) I can't change, it's ONLY the big sub/idx that annoy me!

            hm, - this i can't tolerate!
Is there any other prog besides VOBSUB that can help me show the sub/idx to a movie which ALLOW me to change size/fonts, since VOBSUB won't? thx.

If it is within a .idx + .sub file, chances are, these are subpics. Something like bitmaps, you can't change the size of these. If they are alphabets (english text), you can save them as *.srt which will give you a text file basically. You can then change the size/font/position using VobSub configure.
