"Also I have watched the last 7 min on the dvd using media player"

"I opened VOB8 containing the last few minutes in WIN DVD, since WMP wasn't showing a picture"

How can both of these statements be correct?

If the Windows Media Player can play a DVD, it can also play a VOB...

Thanks Sarit, i'll try that when I get a chance, however I don't think it's the ripper. I don't know why Media Player wouldn't play the VOB, but all i'd get is a black/grey screen and sound when I dragged the VOB into the playlist. The dvd however works fine. I'm having trouble playing files in WMP anyway though, so I wouldn't be to surprised if it's just some glitch with WMP. Well as I said the last 7 min are contained in VOB8 when I played it in WINDVD. I'm going to sleeeeeeep... don't worry too much about this... it's the only problem I've had ripping so far, and I'll probably buy the DVD anyway... it's a great classic and wouldn't mind having the original.
