downloading vhs to hard disk

i have a vhs movies and i want to convert it to vcd, i have this vhs player (with s-video and an rca) and a video card(fx5200 with rca) and pinnacle card(with s-video), how can i download my movies from vhs tapes to my computer..... i also have softwares like, adobe premiere, ulead video studio. i would really appreciate if you could help me guys.

Doing a search on "capture" should bring a plethora of information.
For VCD you want mpeg1 format files for authoring but depending on CPU & RAM you may need to capture in AVI mode first for speed and encode later. The applications you mention should do the job just fine but I'm afraid I'm unfamiliar with them.
