    help me pleeaaase!!

I recently got married and am trying to edit my wedding video using adobe premiere pro. I don't have a video camera or firewire connection so I asked my local fuji shop to copy the digital video from tape onto a CD for me. The file is a DAT file and is 695 mb but premiere won't open it for me - it says "no importer found that supports this file type"

does anybody know what I can do? should premiere be able to open this file???

thanks in advance for your help

    cheers..kylee

Try downloading a program called ISOBuster. Browse to the .DAT file on the disc, and right-click on it. From the context menu that pops up, select: "Extract but FILTER only M2F2 Mpeg frames" then save it to your hard drive, and make sure to change the .DAT extension to .MPG

This will most likely fix your problem
