question about audio

i was just wondering about the audio when you re-author.
the ac3 2-ch is normal for standard audio right?
and the ac3 5.1-ch is for dolby 5.1 surround? if it is, does that mean i can disable it for more available space if i dont have dolby 5.1 surround? cuz its always over 300mb

Most times, yes. However, sometimes the 2 channel track is merely a "Director's Commentary" track...
