    SSA and MKV

Is windows 2000/xp necessary to play subtitles usgin mkv ?

Is there any other format that would allow me to include ssa in vdeos ? Is that one more portable (like work with Win 9x and Linux) ?

I would hate it if matroska only allowed ssa to work for Window 2000/xp worshippers.

this poll is confusing, it's hard to figure out what you're realy asking, even for ppl that use mkv/ssa (and that's no majority)!!!

you know, it works for regular win2k/xp users too :/
