Can DVD's overburn & if so by approximately how much? With CD's I have never had any problems with 82 minutes which is about a 2.5 % increase. If you could get an extra added to your standard 4.38? GB you would have have about 4.49GB.

If DVDs are like CDs, where certain space is used for data error something, then overburning should be doable. But like with CD's, it probably will not be recommendable. Google's your friend for this.Comment

like I said, google is your friend.
I just searched for "overburn DVD" and...
somewhere there, it says nero version blah blah supports overburning. both of you read both links, they're very informative. and like i said in my reply, it's not recommended (because it's not readable in all dvd's).Comment

actually, you can enable/disable DVD overburning through nero... (i have nero 6.3.1.15) just open up the program, click "file", "preferences" and "expert features"... there you can select overburning for CDs/DVDs... i have never tried it myself as i really don't want to take the risk of damaging my writer.Comment
