dvd players

hello everybody!
i am pretty much a newbie at all this stuff and i have a small question
is there any way to install DivX codec into a standalone DVD palyer?
if so, can anyone tell me how to do that?

Hopefully they'll start selling such players. But I don't think it's going to be in the near future.
