S Video or Not S video

I have a sony pcg-z1rmp that doesn't have an Svideo out, is there anyother way to connect my laptop to a sony tv?

Are there any adaptors that I can use to replicate the SVideo port?

    Thanks in advance....

There is probably a converter that can convert your monitor output on the laptop to S-Video but it may be expensive. I'd guess $50-$100. I bet Radio Shack might even have one.

I ´d like to add a few sentences.....

the choice of what kind of adapter /converter you need
depends on the displaying device where you like to output
      your videosignal to.

I suppose it is a TV / VCR.
check if your TV set is able to use RGB signals. (most modern TV sets are)
in this case it would be enough to buy a VGA/ Vga miniport to
s-video cable. 5-20 $ depending on lenght and manufacturer.
if not chosse the option Phytrax has suggestet.
these converters provide more compatibility with most
tv sets and VCRs but they are all somehow big in the priceclass
of 50-100 $ and would surley spoil the transportability of your
      nicley designed Laptop.

just google for it. your laptop provides a VGA output as I remember. but I do not exactly remember if it is a mini VGA
or a normal VGA port. please check your manual on that.

suggestet search criteria : VGA to Svideo or mini Vga to svideo.
