    Cant find Audio codec (have used gspot&avicodec)

    Cant find Audio codec (have used gspot&avicodec)

    Ive used gspot and avicodec but cant find the audio codec (can find video codec) for a few videos i have (PV's) these are Japanese music videos, though I have many that work, since I formated I havent been able get audio to work on a few of them (they used to work before format, possibly because back then I was using older codecs). The videos continue to play but with no audio.

        1) Load the original video file into VirtualDub (or one of its many variants) or NanDub

        2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

        3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (BOTH video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

              Post a screen capture .jpg of the GSpot information box...

                  Have you tried RE-installing the "older codecs"?

                      Ok i unistalled the new Klite mega pack 1.03 and installed klite 2.24f and It worked fine, i just installed the new mega pack on top and it still works

                      gspot shows this in the audio path:

                      (S) --> Elecard MPEG2 Demultiplexer --> Ligos MPEG Audio Decoder --> MatrixMixer --> (R)

                      So looks like I just had to choose "Elecard/Ligos" in the mega pack installation.

                          yeah thanks for making me do something i didnt have the enthusiasm to do in the first place haha, also sorry for wasting your time, i could have fixed this problem my self but wasnt bothered and wanted an easy way out, i probably knew how i would have to fix it from the start, theres probably many people like me that dont have time or cant be bothered that come here looking for a quick fix which really wastes the time of people that can be helping other people, next time i will fix the problem myself, i hope we have all learned a lesson today.
