Is it possible to add backround music to the menu I created? I didnt see anything in the help section or their website, but I thought I would ask just to be sure.
Backround music in menu? (TMPGEnc DVD Author)

"Examine the "Motion Menu" settings..."
Yes this is possible with a motion menu, but the one time I tried it, the music only played on page 2/2 of the menu & not page 1. So i'm not sure that it works very well.
(Either that or I have no idea what I'm doing which is a distinct possibility.)Last edited by ignignot; 8 Jul 2004, 03:45 AM.Comment

How did you get as far as to have the music playing on 2/2?
This is what it says in the help section.
Select whether to use BGM for the menu or not. When a picture in an MPEG-1 or an MPEG-2 file is specified as a background picture, the audio from these files will be played. The audio has to be MPEG-1 Audio Layer2 or Linear PCM. (AC-3 cannot be used).
How do you combine audio with a picture?Comment

Yeah, when I ran into that problem I just tried it to see if TMPGEnc would accept a still picture as video input, and it did.
Strange to think that since both programs are made by the same company that they wouldn't document that process more clearly...Comment
