    Slow ripping with DVDShrink

Just got a new P4 3.0ghz with over 1 gig or ram.
Problem is DVD shink does not seem to want to utilise the full processor. While encoding DVD shink is only using 13% of my CPU which takes around 50 mins to rip a DVD.

Even with Enable Low Priority OFF it still processes at the same speed.

    Why would this be?

My older PC (2.2ghz P 4) will run at around 90% CPU and rips quicker than my new PC.

This a bug do you think?

Make certain that you have DMA turned on for all drives...

Under Computer Manqagement I can see my Primary and Secondary IDE Channel is set to "DMA if available" Transfer Mode currently says "Ultra DMA mode 2" on both as well.

      Is this correct?

My main hard drive is a SATA 120 gig drive if this is in any way helpful.

Thanx for the help so far.

        "Is this correct?"

        It would appear to be.

          Here is something strange.
IfI swith the IDE in question to PIO Only so that the Transfer mode says "PIO mode" My Processor jumps up to between 40 - 70 (Would probably average at about 60% I guess)
          Strange.

Which subForum do you want me to repost into?
