    Fullscreen problem...

    Dear all

I'm wondering if somone can help me with a video problem. All mpeg movies i try to play (regardless of software (winamp, windows media player, interactual player etc, as well as embedded mpeg videos) all seem to play fullscreen only, which is especially problematic when using programs that require 'preview' windows including mpeg playback.
It also happens when viewing DVDs.

I'm running XP Professional, and, to save anyone the trouble of suggesting it, no, it's not a problem of simply pressing Alt-Enter (or corresponding key combination) in the software. No matter what program I use, it *only* allows me to view these video clips and dvds in fullscreen.

Has anyone else had similar problems? Found a solution?
    Possibly a dodgy MPEG2 codec?
Many thanks in advance if anyone can help

    David

Apologies, I have now found the solution!

It was in fact nothing to do with the mpeg codec...it was my NVIDIA GEFORCE4 MX 440 display settings... my primary display had been set as a 'Fullscreen video' display... all i had to do was 'Disable' fullscreen video and it worked. (This doesn't stop u viewing videos fullscreen. It just stops it FORCING fullscreen video)

Hope this may help some others if it's ever a problem.

    Dave
