I did a complete reinstall of my xp system a week ago, and out of all the data/software i backed up, i forgot 1 very handy utility. It was a dos window program that ran from the context menu, on mpeg files, that displayed streams information for video and audio, showing (mpeg1 or mpeg2), duration, frame size, frame rate, aspect ratio of video and with audio, was from memory, audio type (mpeg layer2 etc) sampling frequency, stereo mono etc, and bitrate, and overall mux rate.
It was all in a little dos box window, no user input necessary. I can't for the life of me remember what it was called...
I've tried most other programs, windows based too, that don't seem to match the simplicity or speed of this, thus I don't really need to have suggestions of windows programs.
ie programs that i don't need:
video toolbox -> irregularities
mpeg properties 1.0 and lower
movieid
If anyone has an idea it would be wonderful.
Thanks in appreciation of a result
addition:
programs tried so far....
gspot 2.5 b8 ..... pretty good using it
