Compressor: 'UYVY', Microsoft YUV and Mpeg

Having a little problem im hoping someone may shed some light on. I have been given a video using Compressor: 'UYVY', Microsoft YUV and wish to turn it into and mpeg (or any other format for that matter)....windows MP can playback the original file as can Premiere in the monitor window...however when i export the file using an compression format of any kind...i get a blank screen?

    Any ideas why?

Is it anything to do with FOURCC or a .dll

    Thanks in advance

    1) Load the original video file into VirtualDub (or one of its many variants) or NanDub

    2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

    3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (BOTH video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

        To cyman:

This might be a bug with the Microsoft YUV decoder that comes with some versions of DirectX. Also your screenshot shows that the file contains "No Delta Frames". That might be a problem.

If I remember correctly, that is one of the many Microsoft "limited use" codecs - useful for creation and playback, but will not permit conversion...
