    dvd +rw good - dvd-r bad

    Hey,

I've been burning dvd+rw's fine for a while, I'm using dvd shrink and the newest nero. The dvd's work fine in both my comp and my dvd player. However dvd-r won't work in either. Can someone show me the correct settings to get it to work. I've tried most the guides i could find and still nothing. Anyone have the nero settings around for dvd-r?

1: check if ur dvd-writer is dual format.
2: upgrade the firmware of the drive.
3: burn again with dvd-r / change the media if failed again.

i upgraded my samsungs dual format drive's firmware and its fine, before that i could'nt burn dvd-r's. and thats my new burner 8x dual format.
Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!

There are no different settings for -R versus +R on any setup I've seen. You probably just have a burner that only reads +R.
