    NTSC Audio with PAL Video

I'm having a little problem. I am inserting audio from an NTSC file into a PAL Video file. The result is the audio getting behind. The problem is not that it's not in sync, but that the video seems to be 'faster' slightly than the audio, and kinda "runs away" from it. What can I do to fix this? I am assuming I have to somehow convert the ntsc audio to pal audio, but I don't know how I would do this.

Load the video clip into VirtualDubMod and go to the end of the clip. Copy the length of the clip. Load the audio clip into GoldWave and in the Effects menu there`s a feature to stretch the audio (I don`t have it installed on this rig, so I can`t give you the exact menu item.) Paste the video clip length and save the audio clip in whatever format you need, then mux that with the video. If the result has noticeable pitch change, then you can also fix that in GoldWave.

The result has an incredible pitch-change lol. Is this the only way to do it??

You can fix the pitch in GoldWave, too. See how that works out. There might be some other ways, but that's the only one I know. Maybe a forum search can help, or perhaps some one else knows.

Goldwave hasn't been working for me well at all, but Ive just figured out a way to do this.

I encode the video and audio portion together to ntsc and simply extract the audio, then it will match. shouldve thought of it before
