WDM Drivers and Divx Capture Help!

Does anybody know of capture software that will record divx avi's
using WDM Drivers all the apps i have tried use Video for windows drivers Virtual dub, Avi Io, Aviedit etc. i have tried using the wrapper driver and virtual dub sees the capture card, but as soon as i try to capture the machine blows up and reboots
Any help would be greatly appreciated
