dv2 to xvid than 2 a dvd disc

ok, i really need help on this video stuff and thank u 2 who replie!
Heres the story:

I captured video from my digital video cam into the format dv2 and than edited the video with Ulead video studio 7! after finishing editing it I saved it into the format Xvid and it came out 14gig's in 4hrs of video! so no i have a file with 4hrs of video thats 14gigs big and in xvid format! Now all i need 2 do is burn that file onto 2 dvd discs!!
THats where im stuck, how would i have 2 burn them 2 a dvd and make sure that 4hr's fits on 2 discs!

Im guesing that i need 2 convert it 2 MPEG? anyways Xvid is MPEG4!

and if so plz inlude names of software cause im totaly new 2 computing! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

Follow this procedure:

1. Convert the AVI (DivX or XviD)/mpeg file(s) to a DVD compliant mpeg-2 file(s) using "TMPGEnc" or "TMPGEnc Plus". Use the DVD template (NTSC or PAL) form the "Project Wizard" to help you accomplish the task. If you have an mpeg file that is already DVD-compliant, then skip directly to step 2.

2. Then use "TMPGEnc DVD Author" (different than "TMPGEnc") to author the newly created mpeg-2 into a DVD-related file structure (.IFO, .BUP, .VOB). As an alternative, you can use "DVDLab" to author as well.

3. If the combined filesize of the project exceeds 4.37 Gig, use "DVD Shrink" or similar transcoding program to compress.

4. Use "Nero" or similar burning program to burn onto a DVD (r, rw) disk.

"TMPGEnc" or "TMPGEnc Plus" will only allow for conversion to mpeg-1 and mpeg-2. Also, I presume that you are seeking to view the video on a conventional DVD Standalone player - which usually is not capable of playing mpeg-4.

use canopous procoder or dvdsanta for a 1 click solution.

basically chuck in your avi, press start and both programs will create the relevant dvd files. easy.
