    Movie won't play

I have been using DVD XCopy XPress for awhile with no problems. Videos play nicely on both the DVD player and my PC. I write to DVD+RW discs.

Yesterday I tried to burn a copy of Jumanji and Aristocats and the movies would not play on either my PC or my Go Video DVD player. I downloaded a copy of DVD Shrink and backed up just the movies with no extras. I burned the movies with Roxio. Now, I am able to view the movies on my PC, but still not on the DVD Player. Next, I down loaded DVD Decoder, used that, then DVD Shrink and finally burned the discs on Roxio - still will only play on PC. My last shot was to download Nero and try burning with that. Again, I could only watch on PC.

Since nothing has changed in my normal burning procedure, the only variables lie in the movie themselves. Can anyone give me an idea of what to try next? I am at a loss.

To determine the capabilities/limitations of your specific brand and model of standalone DVD player, as well as media compatibility, go to:

I don't think it is my standalone as I have not had a problem up until now. Every other movie has ripped and played with no problem. I am wondering if there is something embedded in the movie that perhaps I am unaware of??

Thank you so much - you were right - I reripped using DVD+R and the movies worked. I was so surpised considering I had never had a problem before.

          Thanks again!
