Is there anyway I can convert a divx file to a vcd with a cd rewriteable or does it have to be done with a dvd ripper using a dvd rewriteable?

Hi there Bill yes you can convert your DIVX and it has nothing to do with the media you use to burn it on to. The process to do so has been explained at this site in the Tutorial section. If the Divx is on disc let it be CDR or CDRW copy it to your hard drive and once there you can use TMPGEnc to convert it to a MPEG file, it may need to cut to fit on to disc and burn it to VCD with NERO. You can burn it on a normal CDR or CDRW depending if your DVD/VCD player will play CDRW's.
