Encoding a bunch of files with VirtualDub(mod)

Ok, here's the deal: I've got a bunch of VOB files ripped from a DVD. I start VDubMod and open the first of the VOB files, set video to full processing mode, set video filters, set XVID codec options AND set the audio stream to full processing mode -> Convert to Lame MP3 224kbit CBR.

Then I'll enter the filename and save it to job query and open the next one... So all the video options are as they were, which is nice, but the audio stream is set back to "Direct stream copy". So I'll have to change all the audio convert options again with every file to Lame MP3 224CBR. I haven't figured out if it's possible to set it to convert it to MP3 by default?

And even better would be to set the converting/encoding options once for all of the files and make it use the source file name but only change the .VOB to .AVI. Is this possible by some command line tweaking (with the Lame MP3 encoding)?

I can not see GK as an option. I need to keep all those vob->avi files separate because they are cell-ripped VOB's (with DVDDecrypter) from a music DVD. I haven't figured out how I'm suppose to do that easily with GK. Loading them with GK/DVD2AVI just merges them all. And i can not select multiple vob-files at once with DVD2AVI anyway. No matter how many i choose, only the first vob appears. I have over 1000 VOB's so I really don't want to choose every one of them individually. Secondly I don't need any bitrate or size calculations. I just want to set the same XVID quality factor for every file.

GK isn't really very easy to use or helpful if you need not to convert a DVD-movie to DivX/SVCD but convert a 1000's of VOB files and keep the outputted avi files separate too. So thanks but...any other suggestions?

BTW. I tried IMToo DVD-Ripper also but it's the buggiest software I have ever seen. Everytime I closed it or it crashed I had to re-install it. Even booting didn't help. And I don't know how, but it over-amplifies and distorts the soundtrack when converting to mp3. It really don't have too much "leave it as it was" -options.
