DV Capture from JVC GR-DVX to PC?

I was just given a second hand Digital Handycam. It's a JVC GR-DVX about 5 years old.

It had a Docking Station but that has disappeared.

It has a Microphone Jack and AV Jack but there is no USB or Firewire slot (der...don't think they were around then!).

Anyhow, just wondering if there is a way I can somehow get the video from the camera to my PC without having to spend a fortune?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi there

There is something you can do but it will cost a little (shop around for best prices)

Have you considered getting a docking station? (impossible aint it)

You can find one docking station here part code JVC GVDS2.

Im afraid to say that without that docking station is to get a vhs tape adapter.

Do your filming, slot the tape from your camera into the adapter, put it in the video, plug the video onto a capture card, capture it using a capture card and hey presto...

    Look at vhs-c tape adapter

    look at Leadtek capture cards

Would u click on the vote link on my signature please, its a multiple option, free, and no strings attached, no information about yourself will be collected or needed....
