    Audio issues

Hi. I can't get the DVD I burned to play audio or play in a regular DVD player. Does anyone have any ideas? If this question has been asked before, I apologize for wasting everyone's time.

    Thank you!

You made an Audio-DVD? Not all players can play them.

      To rschwarzg

If you're referring to a "conventional" movie DVD (as opposed to an Audio DVD), it would help if you would, at the very least, state:

      1) The software and procedures you used to create the DVD

      2) The brand of media

      3) The make and model of the standalone players you've tried

      4) Whether the burned DVD plays on your PC

Hi. Thanks for responding. I'm sorry I wasn't clear in my previous post. I'm trying to burn movies on HP DVD+R.

DVD-ROM: plays video, no audio via Windows media player and real player
Cyberhome DVD Player: doesn't read DVD at all
DVD Shrink: plays video and audio from the files it compressed from the original DVD.

And I used DVD Shrink to create an image file and used Nero to burn the file onto the media.

use PowerDVD or WINDVD on your PC to watch and listen movies.

Probebly your Cyberhone player can't handle DVDR?

for DVD player compatibility search here:

If yours can't play them you have to a new one.
Then buy one who is dedicated to play DVD-+r/RW.
i've done so in the past and i'm very now .
