WMV File problem

    WMV File problem

    I did some reading, and I found out that the reason i cannot jump to different parts of this video i downloaded is because it is missing keyframes. The article I read had to do with MPEGs and DivX rips, but appeared to be the same problem. It said it could be fixed with VirualDub. So, i loaded that up, and when i tried to open the file, i got some weird error.

    Anyone have any idea how i can fix this "keyframe" issue?

      VirtualDub cannot process .WMV files...

          that would explain it....
          sorry, dont know much about the program

          Now, as for converting the file to an MPEG, I have tried many programs, all of which i get some weird error every time i convert it. I guessing the file is just too screwed up for it to work. Anyone know some good programs that should convert it to a MPEG?

              TMPGEnc will convert a wmv file into an mpeg.
