    mov to avi/mpeg

    i have several small mov files (from a digital camera) that i would like to import into pinnale studio 8 to edit into a longer film. studio 8 will not import mov files.
    Can anyone recomend some software that will convert mov files to avi or mpeg files

      "TMPGEnc" plus the required "QucikTime Reader" plugin...

          I tried using TMPGEnc, and got a few files to convert successfully.

          However, there are some files that gave me errors:

          1. I try to convert a get this error:

          The resolution of the video is illegal
          >The window size needs to be set between 8x8 and 4088x4088
          >The width and height of window needs to be multiple of 8


          2. The second error I've received on a few (different than above) files is:

          "[filename].qt can not open, or unsupported"

          These files are definitely Quicktime files, and will play w/ quicktime just fine.

          Can anyone give me any insight at all on how to correct these errors?

              Use QuickTime Pro to alter the resolution so that it is compliant with TMPGEnc...
