Problem with last few minutes of playback

Have been using dvd shrink for a few weeks now, brilliant bit of kit, just one problem that i hope somebody will know the answer to.

Every dvd i burn works perfectly fine but the last few minutes of the dvd playback become really jerky and unwatchable.

Ive tried reinstalling the software, updating drivers/firmware for drives, cleaning disks, using different media etc...

Does anybody know why this possibly might be?

Here are my computer specs if that will help

    AMD 64 3000 newcastle cpu
    512 Kingston hyper x ram
    160Gb maxtor sata hdisk
    Pioneer 108 dual layer burner

    any thoughts?

    cheers

Which brands? Sounds as you have used to cheap media.

          1) Try burning at a lower speed

          2) The system and/or standalone DVD player that you are using for playback may be overheating

With that brand of discs you shouldn't face any problems.

            1. Which software do you use for burning? Latest version/updates installed?
            2. Which burner do you have?
            3. If you watch the burned discs on your PC do they also pixelate/jump when you play them?

            To find out if it is in the burning process or in the playing process you have your problem - do this test;

Download www.dvdinfopro.com (freeware) insert one of your burned disc and selelct the option "Test your media for CRC read errors" - if you only get green dots you know that your burning is ok and it is the player that causes the problem. If you get any red dots - you know something else.
