    PicVideo MJPEG codec configuration

    Hi,

Does someone know how to use the advanced configuration settings with PicVideo MJPEG codec?

For example what does : 2 fields if more than nnn lines do?
    what swap decompress fields do?

    Another problem with PicVideo MJPEG:
When I capture from TV tuner (ATI TV Wonder) and play back the capture file, the edge of the objects (like a face or something else) appears to be choped when there is fast motion. (The fastest the motion the more choped it looks).

Is it an interlacing problem? How can I avoid this?

    Thanks

    Chris.

It's an codec-problem. I tried many codecs for capturing and think that for slow computers it's best to use Intel Indeo 5.04 (in fast compression mode). Give it a try, with 384x288 it works on a 300MHz Celeron with 25fps. If you pc is fast enough you should use DivX.
