    Backing up seasons

I'm backing up a season of The Family Guy but since each disk is about 8 GB uncompressed, I'm wondering what kind of compression or other methods you guys use to back of seasons of your shows?
I'm thinking that if I do backup each disk with the automatic compression ratio of about 65%, the quality may not be that good.
Thanks for any help and sorry if this has been asked before.

hey! i haven't personally backed up any seasons yet (will do soon) but i know that with regular dvd movies, i burn them usually at 65% or lower compression ratio and i do not notice significant loss in quality at all, hope this helps

If you burn stuff at lower compression does it burn faster?
and how do you do that and with what program?
