Doom 9 knows it all. Then again, divx is a small company and I don't think the guys behind it are millionaires. I wouldn't mind paying $30 to them---after all they helped revolutionize video on the net.
They do deserve something in return for all the programming and hard work. After all, they aren't charging us for the basic, only for the professional codec. But I won't spend $30 until I'm sure that the new codec is stable enough and is even worth it. I downloaded the ad version and the thing has a shit load of bugs, like the settings GUI crashing rundll32. Just read their forums and you'll find a whole bunch of pissed off users.

I guest the best version is the one that you must pay, but I dont understand why?...I mean, divx allways was free, why? they say because they want to only pro people use it...
...just think, why?...if you want, you can post in divx place for pro people and not in the main page....
It's all because MPEG decided they want all developers of MPEG 4 based codecs to pay fifty cents for every download. That means that each person pays $30 for each pro download, and most of that goes to MPEG, not their own pockets. $30 kind of seems reasonable when you think about how very few people will get the pay version anyway.
