Hi everyone I am new to this forum. Having a problem not sure what to do.
Just had a friend install WinTV 2000 on my computer . Version 5.8 with Soft PVR.
I have a new computer Windows XP Pro. I have a digital cable box and ran a splitter from the digital cable box to the cable connection for WinTV on my computer. The result is: I have a picture that is either only taking up 1/4 of the WinTV monitor box or fills the box but I only see the tops of heads (looks like it the picture is vertially stretched no matter what I do) not to mention that the picture has a scrambled look or lines running through it. So the picture is either one or the other. In other words not a clear, visible picture at all.... no matter what channel it is on. Same story when I disconnect the digital cable box and just try the regular cable line.
I have tried scanning the channels using all options but only get the same result. help
