I am trying to convert a movie from Xvid to Divx so I can play it on a stand alone dvd player. I have been using Virtualdub to do the task by only choosing the Video Compression to change it to Divx 5.1.2. After converting I can sse that there is problem with the audio. It is playing slower and with some ripping between frames. The audio doesn't fit the pictures. Audio was set on Direct Stream Copy. How can I solve this problem?

are you making a vcd, svcd, dvd?why not encode the xvid file as is? tmpgenc is a good tool, if you have koepi's latest xvid build 1.0.3 and the right audio codecs installed you should have no problems....i do it all the time."One day men will look back and say I gave birth to the 20th Century".
