When seeking in WMP8 divx fast forwards until sync with sound

I'm encoding divx video's from Tv and sometimes i converrt mpg files to divx using virtualdub. I'm using divx 5.0 now but i had the same problem with 4.12.

Here's what i do:

In virtualdub i choose to encode the video with divx 4.12 (now5.0), bitrate 1300 (sometimes less, sometimes more)
For the audio i choose Microsoft ADPCM, sometimes MP3.

I get the problem with all of these options. The problem is, when i move the seek bar in Windows Media Player to go to another part of the movie, the video fast forwards for about 5 seconds, but the sound is still goin at normal speed. Then after these few seconds the movie plays back normal.

Is this a normal behaviour of the divx codec or am i doing something wrong during the encoding?

It is the way the codec4.x (and I assume 5.x too) manages playbacl. You don't get this with 3.11a, but there will be a pause in the playback anyway.
