I'm trying to convert my old VCR's to DVD with Windows Movie Maker.

My problem it's not reading my VCR machine in composite or svideo mode.

I tried everything I know to get it to go but nothing.

I also tried another program called NEO with the same result.

Strangely enough it does work with my web cam as seen in my attachment below, but when press capture the video is all broken up into a massive color rainbow.

Can you help?

Try disabling (right clicking on the icon next to the clock and exiting them) some programs while you are trying to import video through composite or s video. Looks and sounds like your web cam has exclusive rights as the capturing device.

Could this be Macrovision causing the Rainbow your talking about?

If you have Nero 6 Suit you can try using NeroVision Express 3 to capture video.
