    PAL and NTSC versions necessary?

I am creating DVDs of a concert I recorded for a friend. He wants 10 copies for friends in Australia and 10 for friends in USA.

Is it necessary to create 10 PAL and 10 NTSC versions, or can I just make 20 PAL copies and the people in USA have no troubles?

(Assuming that the DVDs you've made and are contemplating making are LEGAL):

"Is it necessary to create 10 PAL and 10 NTSC versions"

    Yes...

Does that mean it is harder for NTSC players to play PAL then it is for PAL players to play NTSC? Because I have region 1 DVDs that play fine on my player - which is only supposed to be region 4, PAL.

Can I use the same captured source file to output PAL and NTSC from Premier just by altering the output options, or is there more to it then that?

(Yes, it is legal - the footage is of my friends band when they toured the States.)
