    TV out with a Geforce2mx

Just a quick question I hope someone out there can answer for me... It has probably been asked a hundred times before, but whatever..

I have tried to play a DVD to my TV. I have finally figuered how to get it to my TV but the picture quality SUCKS! I mean really, if this can't be fixed why bother getting the TV out option?!?

    Please help with this question!

    Thanks

    Why get a tv out.....!

Well ...i too thiough the same for a while going thru the pain of taking a 15m wire to the tv, but hey that type of DVD player is much cheaper than a standalone DVD player, especially when it comes to playing copied DVD's. but its worth it....do u use tv Tool to send it to the TV, or do u go through the Display settings then advanced etc.....

    cheers

      TV tool

No, I don't have the TV tool yet, I just went through the settings and adjusted it from there.

I am going to read up on TV tool right now. My DVD came with the computer with no extra charge so I thought it would be great to watch DVD's on my tv from the computer. I was wrong, i guess.

      thanks for the reply.

Is this problem prevalent in all cards with video out port? Or does it happen to only apply to GF2MX cards (which I happen to own but will be replacing shortly)?

I only used the composite (I think that's the name) output from my card to the composite input of my TV. The yellow coloured connector. The quality was terrible, so bad that I would rather view things on my monitor instead.

                        Try S-Video.

                        howdi there...

I use S-Video to send from pc to tv, and sound and viedo qality aint that bad if running of hard drive directly but u do loose quality if you run dvd directly from dvd-drive...and i do it over a 15.2m distance. so aint that bad

                        Try s-video

                        cheers
