Is there a really good software package than can do slideshows add more than one music file and then burn to a DVD player. I've got a Iomega Dual DVD 8x... can I do this with this?

I use Ulead Video Studio. I add my clips, transitions and background music. You can then either save to your hard drive or burn to a dvd. You can d/l a demo version from Ulead. -
Thanks tigerman8u, I have the full package of this (I'm just a dumb blonde - sorry)... I haven't even loaded it up yet... so will this allow me to add more than one music track to the slideshow and then put it onto DVD? .. I would be using TDK DVD+R 4.7gb 1-4x (whatever that means!).. also I see I have a Dual Drive, so does this mean I need to buy bigger DVD Discs to fit more on? Or do I turn them over? (joke)Comment

"will this allow me to add more than one music track to the slideshow and then put it onto DVD?"
Yes. You can add a music background and specify how long you want it to play then add another etc. As you add each video clip or picture you can specify how long you want the picture to show before going to the next. I did a picture of my daughter and had it zoom into her head. Kinda like a zoom lens on a video camera. UVS has alot of features and are easy to use IMO. Play with it for awhile and learn it's features. I don't think you will be disappointed.Comment

Thank you Tigerman, If I want to put a lot of slideshows on, what DVD Disc do you suggest I use please? the UVS sounds really good. And could you just tell me what the difference is between a DVD-R and a DVD+R what's the + for Tigerman?
Thank you for your help.Comment

It's not that we're dumb, it's just that we haven't learnt yet, and we all are learning. That's what this forum is all about helping each other. Next time it could be you helping me or somebody else. Let me/us know of your success.Comment

Thank you that's very kind of you.

Yes. Ulead makes different software. Movie Factory is an authoring program, to make menu, chapters etc. and the compliant dvd files to burn. You need a video editing program like Video Studio. You can d/l a trial version from the Ulead website. Again let me/us know of your success.Comment

ok thank you, I'm just reading up on the Ulead VS8 and a lot of people seem to really like it... I didn't know there was a difference with Authoring etc... does that mean once I've made something in VS I can do something else to it in Movie Factory - like add fancy bits.Comment

Ok, sorry I got egg on my face. You can create a slideshow with Ulead MF with background music. I did't see any options to add more than one sound track, but that doesn't meen it's not there. I'll have to check it out tomorrow and see just what it can do. I still like Ulead VS for all the extra stuff you can do. Maybe Ulead MF will do what you wnat to do. I put transitions and scrolling text and do other stuff to my project that's why I like all the extra features of UVS.Comment

ok, thank you, I'll look forward to hearing how it tested for you. I'll also have a go tomorrow if I get some time. Going to bed now. Hopefully hear from you tomorrow. Many thanks for all your advice. Much appreciate.Comment

Hi Tigerman, I have just tried out Movie Factory and it only allows you to add one sound track which isn't what I'm looking for. Did you said that the one you had could add more than one track?Comment
